I have been suffering from a bad cold, and was absent from work for a week. Though not fully recovered but I am eager to go back to work, because I can’t wait to show off my new outfit which I bought during the winter sale in January! Can’t see my peachy pink outfit clearly? Let me catch up with work before I show you some of its close-up shots!
ひどい風邪に悩まされ、1週間も仕事を休んでしまったKyoko。まだ完治していませんが、仕事に戻りたくて仕方ありませんでした。というのも、1月のセールで買った新しい服を皆に早く見てもらいたいからです。このピーチカラーの服、綺麗に見えます？クローズアップ写真を見せる前に、仕事を片付けてしまいますね。
I turned up at work wearing a mask today. I don’t want to pass my cold to the shop manager, or to our shop’s customers. Look at the shop’s flower display! They just match my outfit perfectly! I am looking a bit pale and swollen from my sickness, and the the peachy pink really brightens up my complexion.
今日はマスクをして出社です。店長さんやお客さんに風邪をうつしたくないので。この花のディスプレイ、見てください。私のファッションにピッタリです。風邪のせいで、顔色がすぐれず、腫れぼったい顔をしていますが、このピーチカラーのおかげで私の表情が明るく見えます。
The entire morning the shop manager was busy updating me about the shop’s latest news and arrivals during my absence. I didn’t tell her that as a devoted shopper…..ur…. employee, I have been checking Si-Ho Sup’s blog from my sick bed, and already knew what I wanted to buy from the shop. I am particularly interested in the dotted top by Khala, as I love anything that reminds me of my favorite ball-shaped objects! This grey polka dotted top is easy to match, comfortable to wear, and would last for more than one season. Too bad that the dots are bigger then expected, since I am pregnant and swollen, the big round dots are not so flattering.
店長さんは、私が休んでいる間に起きた事や新製品について、午前中ずっと私に説明してくれました。実のところ、熱心なショッパーとして、、、じゃなくて、スタッフとして、Si-Ho Supのブログはベッドの上でチェックしていたので、何を買いたいか決めていましたが、そのことは彼女には黙っていました。ボール形のものが好きな私には、ドットがデザインされたKhalaのトップが特に気になります。グレーのポルカ・ドットがデザインされたトップは、何にでも合わせやすく、着心地もよく、何シーズンか着ることが出来ます。ドットが思っていたよりも大きくてちょっと残念。妊娠して丸くなっている私には、この大きくて丸いドットは着映えしません。
Forget about the polka dotted top. There are plenty of choices from our latest Spring and Summer catalogue. Also, our shop stocks a good selection of clothes from other Japanese and overseas brands. I have my eyes on this lovely linen shirt with small black buttons by the very much sought after Le Vestiaire de Jeanne. This beige linen shirt would be a better choice for me, as it hides my bloating stomach and would goes well with my new shoes!
ポルカドットのトップはあきらめます。春夏のカタログは他にも色々あるし、お店には日本・海外の様々なブランドを豊富に扱っていますし。小さな黒いボタンが付いたこの可愛らしいリネンシャツ。大人気のLe Vestiaire de Jeanneのアイテムです。ベージュ色のリネンシャツは、ベターチョイスかもしれません。大きくなったお腹が隠れるし、新しい靴にも合います。
I am excited to learn about Si-Ho Sup will soon be celebrating the shop’s one year anniversary later this month. I can’t wait to find out about the details of the anniversary event! Meanwhile, I must practice bowing. Bowing is something which has been bothering me, being born and bred in Hong Kong, I still can’t bow like native Japanese, and my bottom sticks out when I bow. I begged the shop manager to give me bowing lessons from today. She came up with a very good method, she stuck an earring by tamas onto my hair bun and I immediately mastered the art of bowing!
お店の1周年記念が近いということで、ワクワクしています。記念イベント、何が行われるのか知りたくて知りたくてたまりません。でも、お辞儀を練習しないと。香港生まれ・香港育ちの私にとって、お辞儀は悩みの種。日本人のようにお辞儀をするのは難しく、いつもお尻が付き出てしまうのです。店長に、お辞儀のレッスンを今日からお願いしたところ、彼女は良い方法を見つけました。アップにした髪にtamasのイアリングを付けたのです。これで、お辞儀の正しい作法をすぐにマスターしたのです。

“Kyoko, the shop manager has a message for you. She said your hands should not be sticking out like that when you bow! Also, bowing unnecessarily would have a negative effect on the shop’s image.” said the Quelel Peste cat!
“Kyoko、店長から伝言があるよ。お辞儀する時、手は突き出しちゃだめだって。あと、不必要なお辞儀はお店のイメージに逆効果だってさ。” Quell Peste Catが教えてくれました。
