Kyoko x Si-Ho Sup Vol.25: I Saw My Baby in My Dream! 夢に赤ちゃんが！

I saw my baby in my dream last night!  She had a soft yellow coat with lovely green ears and eyes just like mine!

昨夜、夢にワタシの赤ちゃん出現！優しい黄色のコートを着た彼女、耳は緑で、目はワタシそっくり！

 I gave her lots of cuddles and kisses!

何回も抱っこしたりキスしたり。

I loved the way she giggled!

くすぐったい様子が可愛い！

She was so adorable that I could not take my eyes off her.

可愛すぎて目が離せません。

  I covered my baby with my Phyteuma Shirt when she started to look sleepy.

眠たそうになったのでフィテウマシャツを被せました。

Look at us!  I am sure my baby will grow up to be kind, charming and fashionable like me!  I think she’ll like Si-Ho Sup too!

ほら見て！この子、ワタシみたいに、優しくてチャーミングになるわ！Si-Ho Supのファンにもきっとなるのね！

Mother and daughter dozed off togehter.

2人でうたた寝。

I woke up yawning and streching!  It was a dream!

目が覚めて大きなあくび。全て夢だったのね！

Hello from Kyushu (6): Kannawa Onsen / 鉄輪温泉

After breakfast, I decided to go to Kannawa Onsen in Beppu.  On the way, I stopped at the Yuhira Onsen, a tiny hot spring resort where nobody was in sight except many of my spider friends!

朝食後、別府の鉄輪温泉に向かうことに。途中、湯平温泉で一休み。この小さな温泉街、人の気配が全く無し。いたのは沢山の蜘蛛だけ！

I stood still and listened to the soothing sound of the streaming water.

立ち止まって耳を澄ますと、小川の流れに癒されます。

I walked up the stone paved narrow slope and found these rice paddies so green!  I envied the people who could live so close to the nature, but it was hard to imagine how life would be like if I live in such an isolated place?

石畳の狭い坂を上ると、綺麗な緑色の田んぼが現れました！自然の近くで暮せる地元の人を羨ましく思う一方、こんなに離れた場所で生活するのはきっと大変なはず。

Leaving Yuhira Onsen, I continued to Beppu.  I stopped at many scenic points and took in the views along the route.

湯平温泉を離れ、再び別府へ。景色の良いポイントで車を止め、景観を楽しみます。

I knew I was in Kannawa Onsen when I saw the hot spring steam rising from the city, and the smell of sulphur lingered in the air.

温泉の蒸気と硫黄の匂い。鉄輪温泉に到着です。

It was Friday afternoon, and again there was only me strolling around.  I was curious of everything about Kannawa Onsen, from the public hot spring houses, the stone dieties, to the little signs displayed on the walls.

金曜午後、ここも人けがありません。公共温泉、お地蔵さん、壁に掛けられたサインなど、どれにも興味が惹かれます。

The heat was draining my energy.  The rising steam from the ground made it even hotter.  I refreshed in a hot spring, before I enjoyed a late afternoon meal in a very special cafe!

暑さにエネルギーが奪われます。地面から立ち上る湯気で暑さ倍増。温泉でリフレッシュ、そして次回お話しする”とってもスペシャルな”カフェで少し遅めのランチ！

Breakfast treat at Cafe La Ruche, Yufuin.

湯布院・カフェ・ラ・リューシュにて朝食。

It was time for breakfast.   I strolled down towards the Kinrinko Lake.  The shops were still closed.  The locally famous lake was much smaller than I expected.  It was still and quiet except for the occasional ripple on the surface of the water.   I found Cafe La Ruche by the lake, a cafe which was highly recommended by the owner of my Japanese inn.

朝食の時間、金鱗湖に向かって散歩。お店はまだ開いていません。この有名な湖、でも思っていたよりもずっと小さい。水面でさざ波が時々起るのを除くと、静寂に包まれた朝。湖の傍にあるラ・リューシュは旅館のオーナー推薦のカフェです。

 I occupied a table inside the cafe where I still could have a good view of the lake.   You could sit outside on the deck but it was too hot for me.

店内のテーブルからは湖が綺麗に見えます。外にも席はあったのですが、暑いので・・

This was the scone breakfast set I had.  Frankly speaking,the scones were not  fluffy and buttery enough for my taste.  Though the the yoghurt with apple and cinnamon jam was very tasty!

朝食はスコーンのセット。ワタシの好みから言うと、フワフワさとバターがちょっと足りないかな。でもリンゴ・シナモンジャムが入っているヨーグルトはとても美味！

I sipped my black tea while staring out at the lake, thinking of where to go for the rest of the day.

湖を眺めながら紅茶をブラックで。今日はどこに行こうかな・・

The corner where I had breakfast.  Remember to go there early, before the tour buses arrive, destroying the peace and quiet!

この角のテーブルで朝食を食べました。朝早く行くのが正解。ツアー客が来ると、平和と静寂が一瞬の内に消えてしまいます！

Kyoko x Si-ho Sup Vol.24 : The Phyteuma Shirt /フィテウマシャツ

The typhoon no. 6 was passing close to Kanto causing sharp temperature drop the last few days.   On days like these, it would be handy to have a stole such as the Phyteuma Shirt to keep warm!

Hello from Kyushu (4): What are you starring at?　何見つめてるの？

I woke up very early in the morning the next day, and went out for a stroke before breakfast.  It was quiet, too early for most people,  the best time to enjoy Yufuin before the tourists arrived.

翌日は早起きし、朝食前にちょっと散歩へ。早朝のため観光客もまだ見当たらず、湯布院を散策するにはちょうど良い時間。

 It was also the best time to see dragonflies.  I had a memorable encounter with this beautiful black dragonfly!

トンボ観察も。この美しい黒のトンボに遭遇しました！

 The goldfish were swimming happily in the stream. I almost fell in when I was frightened by a bright green frog!   I got up and ran up the hill where frogs were not regular inhabitants!

小川で楽しそうに泳いでいる金魚。鮮やかなグリーンのカエルに驚き、あやうく小川に落ちそうに！すぐに立ち上がり、カエルがいそうにない丘まで駆け上がりました！

Look what I found!  Though I was not sure whether it was a moth or a butterfly!

これ見て！蛾？それとも蝶？

I was impressed by this mosaic of broken pieces of pottery.

陶器のかけらをモザイクにしたもの。アイディアに感心です。

I was busy taking snapshots of this and that. Suddenly I noticed I was being starred at.   The cats were starring at me!

あれもこれも写真を撮るのに大忙し。突然視線を感じました。ネコ数匹がワタシを見つめています！

Maybe the cats could tell there was a presence of a dog!  Don’t worry kitties, I may be a dog but I love cats too!

犬の気配に気がついたのかしら。子猫ちゃん、心配しないで。ワタシ、多分イヌだけど、ネコも好き！
