Marone x Kyoko : Ballet Dress / バレエ衣装

 

 These were delivered to Marone in Chiba last month.   Besides the two regular outfits,　Laundry & Shopping for Teddy Kyo.  I’ve made a brand new ballet outfit this time.  It’s Kyoko’s dream to dress up in a ballet outfit since she was a little puppy girl.  Before I show you more photos of Kyoko in her ballet dress, you can take a look at Marone’s (click! ）blog!

Did I ever tell you where I got my colour inspiration from when I first made the Marone x Kyoko outfits?

Green was the theme colour for marone.  All I did was to look at the colour palette from my garden!

Maroneのテーマカラーはグリーン。庭にあるカラーパレットからインスピレーションを得ました！

Kyoko would never wear a bright green dress decorated with green pompoms all over it.  So, I made it more subtle by using sequins and tiny green beads.

ポンポンが付いたブライトグリーンドレスを着たことが無いKyoko。シークインと小さなグリーンビーズを使っておとなしい感じに仕上げました。

See the colours and textures of the stamen and the stigma of the white lily?  I was very excited when I found the glittering yarn to interpret how the pollen sprinkled on the white petals.

白百合の色や手触り感、分かります？白い花びらに散らばる花粉を表現出来るキラキラ輝く毛糸を見つけたときはワクワクしました！

Kyoko asked why I made her a brown skirt to go with her green cardigan.  I told her to observe the leaves and she spotted the thin brown edges on the leaves!

“グリーンのカーディガンになぜブラウンのスカートを合わせるの”ってKyokoに尋ねられたので、葉っぱを注意深く観察するよう彼女に言うと、、、Kyokoは葉っぱの周りの茶色の細い縁に気が付きました！

Marone x Kyoko : The Green Laundry Outfit by E.L. / ランドリーアウトフィット

This is the Shine Shine Monk (Teru teru bozu), he is very powerful, we believe he brings good weather and keeps the rain away.

これはてるてる坊主。これを使えば、雨が降らず天気が良くなるって皆信じています。

  

I always hang a Shine Shine Monk  on the clothesline while the laundry is being dried in the garden.

Marone x Kyoko : Teddy Kyo by E.L.

 This is Kyoko’s baby, “Teddy Kyo”, I think she is adorable!  Teddy Kyo comes in a variety of colours because it is a mix breed puppy.  This time she has a yellow coat, whatever colour she is born with, her face features will always be green like Kyoko!

これはKyokoのベイビー、Teddy Kyo、可愛いでしょう？この子はミックス犬なので、様々なカラーバリエーションを用意してあります。今回はイエローのコート。でも何色を着ていても、顔はKyokoとおなじグリーンです！

Kyokoは変装した妊婦犬。外出時は人間のようにドレスアップするのが好き。

ここでご紹介するKyokoドールは私の最新作。千葉のMaroneさんから特別にご注文いただいたものです。Maroneはとっても居心地の良いショップ＆カフェ、２ヶ月前に初めて訪れました。Maroneさんからのリクエストで、ドールの内側にはワイヤーが入っています。そしてテーマはグリーン。ロンドンでテキスタイルデザインを学んだこともあり、作品に使う毛糸や生地の質にはこだわりがあります。このMarone x Kyokoドール、ノン・スモーキング環境で、愛情をいっぱい込め、細心の注意をはらって作りました。ドールには下着、ウィッグ、マスクが付きます。

 Marone x Kyoko: A short note by E.L.

Kyoko is a pregnant dog in disguise, she loves dressing up like a human being when she goes out!

These hand made Kyoko dolls are my latest creations.  They are special orders for Marone in Chiba, a cozy shop/cafe I first visited two months ago.  Upon special request from Marone, I have inserted wire inside the dolls, and green was the chosen theme.  I was trained as a textiles designer in London, so it is natural for me to pay a lot of attention on the texture, and the quality of yarns and fabrics used in my craft projects.   The Marone x Kyoko dolls are hand made in non-smoking environment, with a lot of love and care!  The dolls come with underwear, a wig, and a mask too!
