Kyoko 365 Day’s of Treat/Kyokoのおやつ日記: 56

3rd April 2011

Today’s treat is afternoon tea at Cafe Kurumi Dou.

I met up with Bess, Eccomin and Kanaexpress in Kyodo, where we had afternoon tea at a little charming place called Cafe Kurumi Dou.

A non-smoking place situated on the second floor of a small two-storey building, where some mouth watering homemade sweets were waiting for us.

My light and tender caramel chiffon cake.

The others had caramel egg puddings.

My sutachi and lemon drink with ginger syrup.   I knew I ordered the right drink after just one sip of this throat soothing citrus delight.

Kanaexpress’s coffee with a crunchy walnut coated in black sugar.

The reason’s why we gathered in Kyodo was because of Harukaze Sha, a stationary shop loved by all of us.  Kanaexpress printed postcards were being sold there.  Besides stationary, there are some interesting nostalgic toys and little gifts.

My harvest for the day.

Thank you for introducing us to your friend’s restaurant! I really enjoyed the food there! I am now designing new sachets using my new sketch book from Harukaze Sha! 🙂
